What brings me true happiness... This is an interesting question.
Happiness is like an onion that has so many different layers to it. There can be happiness brought by enjoyment from activities, from accomplishments, from celebration(s) (birth, graduation, marriage), from appreciation (what you have), satisfaction or contentment in ones on life. But alongside all of that there is another component that happiness has… with oneself, one’s family and friends etc., and the world which we live in. With each individual layer (on their own) happiness can be fleeting ever changing. And that moment that brought you joy could be in the far distant past because life is always moving, changing and progressing. When one does not include the Savior into the layers of finding happiness you will always constantly be looking for the next level of enjoyment. The thrill. The layers alone cannot sustain themselves and are left wanting. The only way that you can bond or mold the layers together is when you add Jesus Christ in your life. With him you are able to see things as they are and the happiness is now turned from being temporal to eternal. A true happiness.
I have experienced this in my life and I know that this is true.
