“If Satan could but capture our minds, he would have won the
battle and the war. He can only do this if we let him. If we refuse
to walk with him, he will have no power over us, for God gave
us our free agency and Satan cannot take it away. So what I am
suggesting is that we refuse to even walk on the same street with
Satan. In other words, not only should we avoid evil, we should
avoid the very appearance of evil.”
~ Bishop Victor L. Brown
This quote is so amazingly profound to me. I find that it is so easy to go along with the flow. The world has changed so much that it is a necessity to be "politically correct". What does that really mean??? The problem that arises with being "politically correct” is that with this behavior one is saying that what his/her beliefs and principles are have no real value and don’t matter in the world. The whole reason why the world has adopted this belief is that it doesn’t want to offend others - This behavior of apathy is actually offending the "ONES" who really matters - Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. Choose you this day who you will serve…
ReplyDeleteI love the fact that we have more power and control in our lives that we give credit.
