Day 93

“What ever Jesus lays his hand upon lives. If Jesus lays his
hands upon a marriage, it lives. If he is allowed to lay his hands
upon the family, it lives.”
~ President Howard W Hunter

Look at the symbolism in the account of the Savior touching the
stones that lit the way for the Jaredites. What does this account
teach you about the touch of the Savior’s hand? How have you
felt the Lord’s hand in your life?

  1. Great analogy. I've never hear that quote from Pres. Hunter. If we take that all the way, we need do the pondering and thinking and come to the Lord with a plan of how we are going to solve our problems, raise our family, heal relationships etc. We must ALLOW Him to lay his hands on us. We must invite Him to do that. Even in his very finger is the power to illuminate. He can illuminate our way, he can illuminate our lives, he can illuminate our ability to "see" others as they really are, and who they are going to be. Knowing these things, we can forgive easier, let the little things go faster, and have more patience and love for those who dissapoint or hurt us. They we are "touched" by His finger and WE "live."

  2. I love these thoughts. Illumination and life... probably more interconnected than we realize.

  3. I love the brother of Jared. I love how Either is written and how it shows how this great man is just like us. He has struggles, challenges that he needs to overcome, and he is not perfect. I love the fact that he comes and lays everything out on the table with the Lord and confesses and asks for mercy, explains the situation and gives It was done is such a humble and honest way with great faith and trust in the Lord that a miracle can take place for the request that he had. I love the fact that we can experience this as we go to the temple and in everything in our lives. All we need to do is submit to the Lord and get his approval with a confirmation and we will be blessed with the touch of the Master’s hand. So beautiful…
